Matthew is a Twenty something archaeologist and museophile from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He works for Kirklees council Museums, Galleries and Libraries and has a passion for heritage.
The Adventures of a Museophile blog aims to help people engage with their heritage by documenting someone doing just that. While the sites visited ware predominantly in West Yorkshire; the types of site will be similar to those found around the world: art galleries, historic houses, cabinets of curiosity and lumpy fields to name but a few. During the course of the years museuming themes of: psychogeography, archaeology, history, politics, philosophy, architecture and art will be explored; with differing emphasis each week. There is something for everyone.
In all fifty sites will be visited in 2017, with a new post each week.
