Matthew is a Twenty something archaeologist and museophile from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He works for Kirklees council Museums, Galleries and Libraries and has a passion for heritage.

The Adventures of a Museophile blog aims to help people engage with their heritage by documenting someone doing just that. While the sites visited ware predominantly in West Yorkshire; the types of site will be similar to those found around the world: art galleries, historic houses, cabinets of curiosity and lumpy fields to name but a few. During the course of the year’s museuming themes of: psychogeography, archaeology, history, politics, philosophy, architecture and art will be explored; with differing emphasis each week. There is something for everyone.

Initially started in 2017 and intended to last for that year the blog continues for the small band of readers who have kept up with it.
